Space Apps is for everyone!
This includes those who have never "hacked" before! Everyone who is passionate about problem solving is encouraged to join: students, experts, engineers, creators, artists, and storytellers. While some of our challenges are technical, others ask you to use your artistic skills, business acumen, and historical imagination.
In other words, you don't need to be a coder or data expert to be a part of Space Apps. In fact, the most diverse teams are often the most successful. We will offer prizes for the best projects and a special prize for the best artistic or multimedia production.
ABOUT US
We are a small charity from Ayacuchana. We support rural youth to develop the problem skills and resilience needed to work in tech roles.
We organize appropriate technology clubs online for our youth with a variety of volunteer mentors from the industry. You will meet some of them over the weekend!
As well as helping to host online clubs, we have an active program of rural internet connectivity, employment of open source, electronics, astronomy, astrobiology in rural schools through a network of community charities to support the education of children and youth.
We are also building a technological rural technological community in the region with influence in Arequipa with leading local partners that include colleagues in Arequipa, Apurimac and abroad.
