If you are a passionate artist, coder, entrepreneur, designer, storyteller, or builder and want the opportunity to access NASA’s open data to help solve real-world challenges with other creative problem-solvers, please join us on Oct. 2-3 on the Pierre and Marie Curie School Campus!
You can work alone or in a team to collaborate on an innovative solution. Teams will be formed by those who register.
This year's hackathon will be in person. Registration is available through here on our local 2022 NASA International Space Apps website. Participants may NOT register on any other website.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Space Apps is a hackathon for coders, scientists, designers, storytellers makers, builders, technologists, and many more! At NASA Space Apps, we encourage interdisciplinary collaboration of participants from a wide variety of backgrounds. Anyone who is passionate about space and collaborating with others to come up with creative solutions can participate!
I AM NOT A CODER OR EVEN TECHNOLOGICALLY-INCLINED, CAN I PARTICIPATE?
Yes, indeed! As mentioned above, we're looking for interdisciplinary members to help form teams of people from different backgrounds. A large part of the challenges and solutions do not involve coding at all. Your project depends on you or your teams' ideas are and can range from an digital, to hardware and to artistic solutions! The important thing is that you are curious, passionate, and apply your unique skills to a real-world challenge!
DO I REGISTER INDIVIDUALLY OR AS A GROUP?
When you register, you register as an individual. Teams will be formed on the first day of the Space Apps event. If you have friends who would like to participate, encourage them to register too.
You can work individually or in a group of up to 6 people. We have found that teams of 4-5 members is optimal for great idea flow.
Remember that Space Apps is all about collaboration!
DO I HAVE TO SPEAK AND WORK IN ENGLISH?
While the language you work in can be in Spanish or other language, your demos and final products will need to be in English. So it is important that you and/or team member can represent your project and ideas in English.
WHERE AND WHEN WILL THIS OCCUR?
Space Apps Challenge 2022 will take place on Saturday, October 1st, and Sunday, October 2nd. It will be at the Universal School Pierre and Marie Curie Universal School Pierre and Marie Curie
WHAT CAN I EXPECT ON THE DAYS OF THE EVENT?
On the 1-2nd of October you will be offered a comfortable space, with internet, tables, support, food, and fun! We will have the space open and available from 9am-5pm.

Si es un artista, codificador, empresario, diseñador, narrador o constructor apasionado y desea tener la oportunidad de acceder a los datos abiertos de la NASA para ayudar a resolver desafíos del mundo real con otros solucionadores de problemas creativos, únase a nosotros el 2 y 3 de octubre en el Campus de la Escuela Pierre y Marie Curie!
Puede trabajar solo o en equipo para colaborar en una solución innovadora. Los equipos estarán formados por las y los que se inscriban.
El hackathon de este año será presencial. El registro está disponible aquí en nuestro sitio web local de aplicaciones espaciales internacionales de la NASA 2022. Los participantes NO pueden registrarse en ningún otro sitio web.
¿QUIÉN PUEDE PARTICIPAR?
¡Space Apps es un hackathon para programadores/as, científicos/as, diseñadores/as, narradores/as, constructores/as, tecnólogos/as y muchos más! En NASA Space Apps, alentamos la colaboración interdisciplinaria de participantes de una amplia variedad de orígenes. ¡Puede participar cualquier persona a la que le apasione el espacio y colabore con otros y otras para encontrar soluciones creativas!
NO SOY CODIFICADOR/A NI TENGO INCLINACIÓN TECNOLÓGICA, ¿PUEDO PARTICIPAR?
¡POR SUPUESTO! Como se mencionó anteriormente, estamos buscando miembros/as interdisciplinarios/as para ayudar a formar equipos de personas de diferentes orígenes. Una gran parte de los desafíos y las soluciones no involucran la codificación en absoluto. ¡Su proyecto depende de usted o de las ideas de sus equipos y puede variar desde soluciones digitales, de hardware y artísticas! ¡Lo importante es que seas curioso/a, apasionado/a y apliques tus habilidades únicas a un desafío del mundo real!
¿ME REGISTRO INDIVIDUAL O EN GRUPO?
Cuando te registras, te registras como individuo. Los equipos se formarán el primer día del evento Space Apps. Si tienes amigos y amigas a los/las que les gustaría participar, anímalos/las a que también se registren.
Se puede trabajar individualmente o en un grupo de hasta 6 personas. Hemos encontrado que los equipos de 4-5 miembros son óptimos para un gran flujo de ideas.
¡Recuerde que Space Apps tiene que ver con la colaboración!
¿TENGO QUE HABLAR Y TRABAJAR EN INGLÉS?
Si bien el idioma en el que trabaja puede ser español u otro idioma, sus demostraciones y productos finales tendrán que estar en inglés. Por lo tanto, es importante que usted y/o un/a miembro/a del equipo puedan representar su proyecto e ideas en inglés.
¿DÓNDE Y CUÁNDO OCURRIRÁ ESTO?
Space Apps Challenge 2022 tendrá lugar el sábado 1 y el domingo 2 de octubre. Será en la Universal School Pierre and Marie Curie
¿QUÉ PUEDO ESPERAR LOS DÍAS DEL EVENTO?
Los días 1 y 2 de octubre se les ofrecerá un espacio cómodo, con internet, mesas, apoyo, comida y diversión! Tendremos el espacio abierto y disponible de 9am-5pm.
