Why Penn GSE?

The Penn Graduate School of Education (Penn GSE) designs and delivers professional learning opportunities for educators and leaders across the globe. We support educators to lead authentic learning experiences for their students, in service of their schools, organizations, communities, and society. The NASA International Space Apps Challenge provides participants with the opportunity to explore what authentic learning looks like by engaging firsthand in collaborative problem-solving on real, meaningful, and complex problems.

A Special Focus on Teaching & Learning

Penn GSE will also support our participants to consider how to translate these sorts of learning experiences into their own organizations, classrooms, schools, or systems, whether they be in formal K-12 contexts, after-school programs, graduate school classrooms, or corporate or non-profit contexts. Penn GSE has rich experience and deep expertise with teaching and learning, project-based learning, leadership and problem-solving, and supporting educators to pursue ambitious learning and development with their learners, regardless of who those learners happen to be. We hope that you have a meaningful learning experience as a participant, as well as the opportunity to consider how to use this experience to inform your other professional endeavors.
