Calling all South Africans... wait, CALLING ALL OF HUMANITY!
Innovators, artists, coders, technologists, scientists, entrepreneurs, thinkers, anyone passionate about our home planet, Earth, and Space Enthusiasts. We are proud to be hosting and participating in NASA Space Apps 2022, in Pretoria, the capital city of South Africa (and also interestingly enough, the birth city of one of the most successful innovators of time directly involved in Space innovation, Google it). NASA Space Apps is the largest hackathon in the known universe.
We have a term here in South Africa: Ubuntu: a quality that includes the essential human virtues; compassion and humanity. We believe this to be a good foundational term for this "mission objective".
NASA, as part of their service to the globe provides free and open data for all to access, and action - coming up with meaningful and creative ways to address existing challenges we face on Earth and in Space. So in a nutshell, now is our time to shine fellow beings. Your contribution could be impactful for generations to come.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

- Familiarize yourself with the Space Apps Resources.
- Choose a challenge and join a team
- You can participate virtually or in-person!
The event is staged to be an in-person event, taking place at a modern education centre, to ensure the ideal environment for the event, it will involve government organizations and departments, South Africa's own Space Agency, Tertiary Institutions, Corporate Brands and many more, all there to support you as a participant! It will be very collaborative, so keep your thinking caps on okay. We will update the list of partners as we go along.
