Be ready to be part of the largest Space Apps hackathon in the solar system
The dawn of a new technological era brought to Shurugwi through hosting international space apps challenges. SpaceAppsShurugwi is a hackathon event that will occur from 1 to 2 October 2022. The event is going to be a hybrid event that is the event is going to be both virtual and physical and it seeks delegates from all walks of life to join by registering to participate so that we solve the scientific challenges of our time together with a determined perspective
Shurugwi will host the event this year , and will give participants the opportunity to connect with people from different backgrounds and talents to solve one of the challenges provided by NASA.
The event embraces collaborative problem solving with a goal of producing open-source solutions to challenges we currently face on Earth and in space. Space Apps Challenges inspires collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, fosters interest in Earth and space science and exploration, and encourages the growth and diversity of the next generation of scientists, technologists, designers, and engineers.
Take part in this worldwide competition of ideas, find solutions to spatial and terrestrial problems using spatial data and win fantastic local and global prizes!
Your ideas and your skills can change the world! (Yes, even if you are really bad at math!). Don't let the 'Apps' part put you off, the best teams are often the most diverse teams in terms of age, skills and experience. We have seen great projects made entirely from cardboard!
Our mission is to leverage this interest to encourage the growth and diversity of the next generation of scientists, technologists, designers, storytellers, and engineers.
Anyone can participate in the event virtually or in person completely free.
We also inform you that we have partnered with The Guru Lab P/L, an emerging scientific simulation lab in Zimbabwe that seeks to readdress the common people that in science everything is possible. The event is going also to be hand in hand with SpaceApps.
