- Houston, we have great news!
NASA Space Apps is returning with an in-person hackathon! This means that you have an opportunity to:
- Find innovative solutions to the real-world issues of the Earth and space, based on NASA data
- Get new knowledge, experience and inspiration from speakers, mentors and co-participants
- Spend three productive days in Tbilisi and in Kutaisi International University
- Win, get awesome prizes and, most importantly - a chance to present your project at the Global Awards
- What is NASA Space Apps?
NASA Space Apps is the largest hackathon in the entire solar system. Every year, at more than 300 cities and towns around the globe, thousands of people get together, take a deep dive into NASA data, and work in teams to solve some of the planet and space’s biggest challenges in just 48 hours.
- Can I participate?
Yes!
NASA Space Apps is open to anyone. Those interested in science, coding, technologies, design or storytelling might find it especially exciting. But no prior experience needed - anyone who is just curious, courageous and creative is welcome.
- Are there any limitations?
No.
One thing to note though: the working language of the hackathon is English so participants are expected to understand and somewhat speak it. Remember that if you win the local challenge, you’ll compete in the international one, where English will be a must.
- What if I don’t have a team?
No worries. Participants register as individuals, not as teams. You’ll be able to form a team on the ground.
Save the dates: September 30 & October 1-2, 2022!
See you in Tech Park Tbilisi (7 Innovation Street) on September 30, and in Kutaisi International University on October 1-2!
Note: Transportation from Tbilisi to Kutaisi and back, accommodation in Kutaisi, and meals will be provided by the organizers.
