This Event Will be Held In Person!
Our Yukon event is taking place thanks to the following supporting organizations:
Skills Competences Canada, which has offices in each territory and province in Canada. Our missions is to encourage and support a coordinated Canadian approach to promoting skilled trades and technologies to youth.
We engage with Yukoners across the territory through Skills Clubs, hands-on workshops, in-school presentations, and competitions.
We work with mentors, coaches, and volunteers, partners in industry and education, and all levels of government to invest in Yukon’s next generation of skills tradespeople. We work together to connect Yukon youth with hands-on opportunities to explore meaningful and rewarding careers in skilled trades and technologies.
Our mission is to promote trades and technology careers as a top choice option for Yukoners.
BYTE is a “by youth, for youth” organization that focuses on empowering and promoting youth throughout the Yukon and Canada’s north. Our facilitation team travels to communities throughout the Yukon and to some areas of Northern BC and NWT to deliver innovative and relevant workshops to northern youth. We also host events and conferences in Whitehorse that foster creativity and culture. Everything we do is about helping youth to develop confidence, skills, openness, and a sense of belonging.
Yukon Women in Trades and Technology (YWITT) is a non-profit organization that works through education, advocacy and awareness programming to create spaces of belonging in careers traditionally dominated by men. YWITT believes that gender should not be a barrier to workplace opportunities and careers in trades and technology sector. In our workshops and community engagement, we build skills, provide mentorship opportunities, and influence policy change toward bettering workplace environments.
Tech Yukon is a non-profit industry association that advocates on behalf of local technology-based businesses in the Yukon.
