NASAINTERNATIONAL SPACE APPS CHALLENGE MOUNTAIN VIEW

The NASAInternational Space Apps ChallengeMountain View applications are open!
Dates: 1-2 October (Saturday and Sunday)
Location: NASA Ames Research Center - B3 Conference Center
(When you reach the 1st gate, you will get directions to B3 Conference Center)

The COVID-19 Pandemic Rules:

Оustanding news! NASA Ames Research Center annulled the COVID participant limitations!
We can welcome you all on base, and our limit number grew to 150!

You are more than welcome to attend the event in person, as long as you bring your IDs so we can verify you!
If you can't attend on base, we have a hybrid model set in place just for that! You can attend online! Make sure you register ASAP!

The NASA International Space Apps Challenge is the biggest hackathon in the world, and Mountain View, Silicon Valley, California is a hub of innovation and international cooperation where the hackathon will take place. Our energetic Local Lead, Martina Dimoska, and her team, this year are vouching for inclusivity by enabling two platforms for participation in a hybrid model, on-site and online.

You can participate ON SITE as you bring your IDs so we can verify you!
You can participate ONLINE, from anywhere in the world, whilst being immersed in an online experience of the event, where you can follow the on-site important activities through a live stream and communicate with the teams seamlessly.

This year, the theme for the NASA Space Apps Challenge is ”Make Space” which celebrates inclusivity, at Space Apps, “there’s always space for one more”.

Sign up for THE EVENT OF THE YEAR in Mountain View to show your creative side! No matter which field you're in, join us! You can be an artist, influencer, creative, cook, designer, doctor, lawyer, or into STEM and Space, we'll still find you a slot and make sure you grow and learn! Empowering your curiosity is one of our goals. The world needs YOUR ideas! All space enthusiasts are welcome, including but not limited to software engineers, designers, UI/UX analysts, writers, and artists! For our IT Geeks, Space Lovers, and Engineering Fam, of course, you can show your skillset and technology capabilities in challenges covering themes such as: Robotics, software, education, medicine, and many other areas!

Contribute to applications and other projects that solve problems or put forth new ideas, and can optionally make use of NASA's great open data. We love creating diverse teams and learning from each other. Our community is safe and welcoming to anyone who wants to participate! For the software projects, prototypes with some functionality are great, but we will be focusing on the ideas and the feasibility of completion, so "some code" will be sufficient in many cases!

Mountain View will have local event winners, and select projects will be nominated for global judging.

Specific challenges will be announced, but there will also be a freestyle category for those who wish to undertake space-related projects of any type. These projects will not be eligible for global judging, but we will promote them widely. We are especially interested in freestyle projects related to art, advanced visualization, and open-source 3D engines.

Information about our Slack workspace and other event software will be emailed to all registrants soon. Feel free to contact us at nasaspaceappsmv@gmail.com as well.
